Wizkid Sets New Record For The Most Awards Won By An African Artiste In A Single Year.

Grammy award winner, Wzkid has raised the bar very high yet again with a new record in the African continent.

The Nigerian becomes the highest award winner when in comes to music on the African scene in the year 2021.

Wizkid won a total of 37 awards in 2021 alone, the most won by an African artist in a single year.

Wizkid grab major recognitions at high profile awards gala’s including Afrima, Mobo awards, Apple Music Awards as well as the Grammys among others.

A s fight between two grown-up women going-out or dating the same man has led to the death of the sidechic following the discharge of firearm by the mainchic.

According to reports attached to a video making rounds on the internet, the side chick lose her cool after her boyfriend decided to ignore her and focus his attention on the main chick, also believed to be his wife.

The furious side chick allegedly clashed with the main chick at a gas station after she surprisingly pulled up on her and the man while they were hanging out.

She went berserk and started throwing tantrums including destroying the window of the main chicks car.

While the man was seen trying to stop his woman from causing further damage to the car, the main chick pulled out a gun and fired multiple times at the other one.

The footage did not reveal what happened thereafter but it was gathered the side chick died instantly.

Koffee Says Alkaline Has Proven Himself After Challenging Vybz Kartel, Popcaan.

Grammy Award-winning Reggae sensation Koffee says Dancehall deejay Alkaline has made a name for himself among the greats in the industry like Vybz Kartel and Popcaan.

The 21-year-old Rapture singer was speaking on episode eight of BBC 1Xtra’s Influence With.  “Alkaline feels like family to me because we went to the same high school, which, if you’re Jamaican you kinda realise the magnitude of this coincidence,” Koffee said, after playing Conquer The World and City. 

“Ardenne is typically known for excelling in academics, but also for supporting young talent and for helping young youths hone their skills, and their creativity. I think Alkaline and I were able to benefit from such a system.”

“Why I’m proud of this young man is because he was very brave, like from a very early age. Entering the Dancehall industry, I think he started releasing songs at the same age I did, around 16, 17 years old…He entered the industry with such a force—such a confidence in himself, and such a determination fi win and even though in real life we don’t like fi promote like a feeling, or a sense of rivalry but a competitive scene like the Dancehall scene, he really did well for himself.”

Koffee continued, “Coming through, challenging artists who are on top of the game like Vybz Kartel, Popcaan…getting into several clashes, proving himself as an artist to his different fans. Popcaan Pledge $2.4 Million On Bottle Of Champagne In Ghana Auction.

Popcaan’s Ghananian $100,000 (J$2.4 million) spend on a bottle of champagne—valued at US$300 (J$46,000)—during a New Year’s Eve auction in Osu, left tongues wagging in Ghana, with some of the country’s nationals lampooning the Dancehall superstar, claiming he had squandered his money.

Popcaan made the top bid during a party dubbed the Gatsby Gala Night, which was staged by Ghanaian millionaire Freedom Jacob Ceaser, aka Cheddar, on Friday night, at the Number One Oxford Street Hotel and Suites, an event attended by what has been described by Ghananian media as “a long list of Ghanaian and international celebrities” including Davido, Stonebwoy, and Stefflondon.

“The gala saw Cheddar auction off an Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut champagne with an original price of just over $300, but this special edition was accompanied by “gold dust” according to Cheddar.  The host auctioned off the bottle of champagne for only $20,000 and called on the highest bidder,” GhanaWeb reported.
